About the Artist:
Growing up in Maine, Mike Taylor's childhood consisted of Looney Tunes, Bloom County and as much Star Wars as he could get his hands on. After graduating from Clark University with a degree in Economics and a minor in Experimental Music (seriously), he wandered into the corporate world and soon found himself in a successful career as a Database Developer. Inspired by Jurassic Park, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of being an animator and spent nights and weekends honing his animation skills, first with pencil and paper, then, thankfully, with computers. He began creating animation for a number of clients, while keeping his day job, but hungered for more. I have always loved making art and creating. It's been such a great way to express myself as well as connect to a higher world of limitless possibilities. I prefer creating unencumbered by "rules" and create what I feel wants to be made. I've been mostly inspired by nature and the coast and my many visits to Cape Cod.
